Schedule Revised
Revision of .the city softbdll
league schedule for the balance
of the first half of the current
season was announced today. The
Glide team has retired from the
league due to the fact that a num
ber of the players are engaged In
forest protection duties and are
unable to play regularly. The re
tirement of Glide leaves four
teams remaining in the league,
and for the balance of this month
all four teams will play three
games weekly.
The first half of the season
will be concluded this month.
There are a great many post
poned games, due to the long
spell of wet weather during the
early part of the season.
No arrangements have been
made for playing off these games,
and, as each team has about the
same number of postponed
games, and, as each team has
about the same number of post
games, it may be decided,
league leaders report, to simply
cancel the games and start the
