Crash Kills 2 Fliers
SAN JOSE, Calif., June 27.
(AP) Two fliers In an army
training plane died yesterday in
the wreckage of their ship as it
crashed near the San Jose air
port while coming In for a land
ing. The victims were Lieut. W.
C. Senner and Cadet Waldo E.
Macintosh.
The crash was witnessed by
George Kempsen, a rancher. He
said the plane whs about 500
feet up, headed for the airport,
when it went Into a spin. The
pilot pulled It out but a moment
later It dropped sharply and
crashed a quarter of a mile from
the field.
