Word has been received hern of
the announcement of the marriage
of Miss Lucia Booth, of Manila,
P. I., to Stanley ft. Kidder, former
ly of this city und now of Manila.
The service was read In the gnrden
of the C. W. Rosenstock home In
San Fnmcisco del Monte, Nov, 2.
Rev. Walter Brooks Foley offi
ciated at the ceremony which was
witnessed by a large gathering of
friends. The stone pillared green
house, the entrance to which was
decorated with baskets, of white
flowers and in front of which
burned white candles In tall five-
branch candelabra, formed a grotto-like
background .for-, the cere-j
mony. i
The bride wns given nwny by Mr.
Rosenstock and was attended by
Miss Ruth Patterson ns maid of
honor. Ptincnn Havens attended
the bridegroom ns best man. while
Fred Sager and Edward Kincnid
acted as ushers.
The bride worn a wedding gown
of rich ivory-beige Belgian lace
which belonged many years ago to
her aunt, Miss Mnrgaret Acheson,
of Jacksonville, Florida. The dress
was featured by a scpiare neckline,
cape sleeves, shirred long-torso bo
dice, nnd gracefully draped skirt,
the delicate old lace being fash
ioned over a foundation of pitta
cloth. She wore a three-quarter
length veil of matching beige tulle
which fell from n cardinal cap of
sampnguita blossoms and the
bride's old-fashioned lace-edged
bouquet of mixed spring flowers
blended with the wedding gown.
The bridegroom's mother, Mrs.
S. L. Kidder, was gowned in old
rose silk lace nnd wore a picture
lint of rose horsehair, the crown of
which was covered with mixed
flowers. Her corsage was of white
orchids and rose African daisies.
Immediately following the ,wed
ding an informal reception ' was
held In the garden, a special attrac
tion being the throe-tiered wedding
cake elaborately iced and decorated
with sugar flowers, which had been
made by the bridgegroom's mother.
During the wedding and through
out reception organ music was
played by Miss Josephine Bennett.
After a short honeymoon in
Bngufo, Mr. nnd Mrs. Kidder will
return to make their home in Ma
nila. Mr. Kidder, son of Mr. nnd Mrs.
Stanley L. Kidder, now of Manila,
made his home In this city with his
parents, graduated from the local
high school and later attended the
University of Oregon. He is the
nephew ot Mrs. W. S. Hamilton,
Mrs. J. E. Sawvers, Miss Gertie
Rast, D. V. Hast of this city nnd
Mrs. E. II. McPnniels of Portland.

night's contest, after having the

Chlco in the fourth period cut
down Hoseburg's seven-point lead
to only one point as tlie game
