Cooper Spring Dispute
Five days of hearings with re
gard to water rights on Cooper
springs and Its overflow were com
pleted yesterday. The hearings
were held before Deputy State Kn
gineer Iogan, who heard claims f
ten claimants of persons using the
water rrom the spring and creek,
which the Koberis creek water dis
trict seeks to condemn us u source
for ti domestic supply.
On the basis of testimony pre
sented at the lengthy homing, the
state engineer Is expected to speci
fically designate the rights of each
person found to have a legitimate
claim to the water, thus establish
ing a basis upon which condemna
tion proceedings may be bad in the
circuit court.
The Hoberts creek water district
proposes to construct several miles
of pipe line to vany wuter from
