sulphur or dry lime sulphur sprays
should not he used as these apraya

burn to foliage anil trult.

sprays anil sulphur dust apparent
ly helps to control the 12-spotled
cucumber beetle, which has been
doing serious damage to peaches as
they reach nialuiily. The beetle
eals into the blossom end or the
peach when It begins to ripen, de

For the second time this publica
tion has heen revised and brought
up to date, and now the "third edi
tion" Is off the press ami ready for
free distrlhtylnn to Oregon citizens.
Many authorities nt the college
have cooperated In the preparation
cf the bulletin, which has Lucy A.
Case, extension specialist in nutri
tion, as the principal autb.oi.
"In this bulletin win have tried
to give details and schedules which
will bring succes:dul results if
carefully followed, ' says Miss

for canning vegetables, fish, ami
meat. Processes described Include
hot water bath, pressure cooker,

ods, such as storing vegetables. A
handy tabulated list gives a quick
reference table for canning vege
tables, fruit, meats, poultry ami
