HAS SOCIAL MEETING
SUTHERLIN, Jan. 29. Tuesday
evening, January 23, the Sutherlln
Rebekah lodge made their friend
ship visit to the Oakland Rebekah
lodgo. The Sutherlln order gave
a drill nnd presented Oakland with
the traveling friendship links.
After lodge a delicious banquet
was held, furnished by the Suth
erlln ladles, in the dining room
which had been beautifully decor
ated with ivy and red apples by the
Oakland ladies.
Following the lunch bingo and
cards were enjoyed with Mrs. J. W.
Culver, Mrs. Cora Allen and Mrs.

gram sponsored by the Ladles Aid
society is to be presented at the
Sutherlln Methodist church, Wed
nesday evening. Janunry 31, at
7:30 o'clock. There will be no ad
mission charge for the program,
but there will be a charge for the
supper, which will he served begin
ning at 6 o'clock and also after the
program.
The feature of the evening is
to he the one-act play, "The Woodpile,"-
by Morton Mix. The set
ting for this dramatic play is the
kitchen of the farm home of Lu
clnda Pikes on a cold, winter day.

the part of Luciada; and the part

The new officers were elected as

The board has .ordered new
books for an adult rental library
and new books for children to be
read free are now on hand. During
the winter months the library will
be open every Saturday after
noon from 2 to 4.
Mrs. Barnes has donated a table
and chair which will greatly facili
tate matters.
