interested. They give so freely of
their time and talents lo make life
happier for others through their
auxiliary that it is with pleasure
that Ihe local unit thinks of its in
creased membership ranks.
Each year linfiKi'ua unit has been

ers. This year it Is headed by a
woman' verffed In organization.
While a resident of Portland she
built up her college alumni asso
ciation to a going organization. Sim
managed many other clubs and
coached a number of highly suc
cessful plays and opcreltas tliero
and during her teaching experi
ence. Her enthusiasm never wanes,
it is vital, constructive. Liko the
families of other leaders of the
American Leg'ion auxiliury her
family contributes Its share by
backing wife and mother with its
support. No leader can do her best
work unless the family Is In sym
pathy with her efforts. It Is said
that the busiest person can always
