Douglas County Council hehi an
alt-day meeting Tuesday at the
First Christian church with Mrs.
T. J. Wrtston, president, in
charge. Guest speakers included
the state president. Mrs. Clarence
W. Walls, of Portland; Mrs. B. C.
Forsythe, of Ashland, and Mrs. J.
K. Hoey, of Medford.
Mrs. Walls stressed the first
duty of u P.-T. A. organization was
to find and meet the greatest
need of a community. She stated
the greatest need was to raise the
standards of the community for
the children. Duties of the various
officers were discussed.
Mrs. Forsythe gave an interest
ing talk on programs, stressing
the point of having members par
ticipate In group and panel discus.

Mrs. Hoey gave an Inspirational
