eight Justices.
If the I'nited Slates supreme
court refuses to give the order
permitting Rosser to appeal, he
then would lose his last hope of
freedom. Rosser. now in jail in
Portland, has been in Jail 17
months. The time spent In jail
does not count toward the Diison
sentence.
