CONCERT TO BE HEARD
AT M. E. CHURCH TONIGHT
As the outstanding musiciil event
of the year, the Ijouglus County
Miuif Teachers association will,
present at eiht o'clock tonight.
.Miss Klhelynde Smith, noted ho-
pnrno, in a concert at the .Metho
dist Kpional church, as a benefit
m'i'air tor the Itoiehun; Public li
brary. .Miss Smith comes to Hoseburg
highly praised by music critics all
over the I'niteU Stales. She has
made numerous coast to coast tours
and played any number of return
engagements and it is only through
Miss Smith returning to Oregon to
j sini repeat concerts, that the Music
' Teachers association secured her 1
for this concert tonight.
Miss Smith's concert includes
groups of delightful numbers, chos
en to please audiences of varying
taste in music. She is reported to
be an unusually talented singer and
her concert tonipht promises to be
a rare musical treat for residents
here. Mis? Smith will be accom
panied by Miss Gladys IT. Strong,
prominent Hoselmi'R piano teacher
and musician.
