ROSEBURG WOMAN'S CLUB ANNUAL FALL PLAY AND TEA IS CHARMING AFFAIR One of the most charming nffairB of the week was the annual fall birthday tea and play of the Uose burg Woman's club held Tuesday afternoon at the clubhouse. Beauti ful bouquets of autumn leaves and colorful fall flowers were used about the rooms. Mrs. n. R. Maddox. Mrs. G. Rar lel anil Mrs.- Roger Bailey, hostess chairmen of the delightful affair, were assisted by Mrs. T. O. Wat son in serving and the guests were received by Mrs. L. Kolilhagen br Mrs. J. C. McCallister and the president. Mrs. P. W. Morrison. Progrnm announcements were made by Mrs. Morrison. Mrs. R. R. Chamberlain played a beautiful violin aolo, "II Trovatore," and Mrs. Hugh Whlnnle very charmingly sane. "Sine Me to Sleep." and "Just Like Your Eyes." The musical numbers were accompanied by Mrs. Homer Crow, music chair man of the club. The fall birthday play. "Make Up", was -a charming and delight ful one-act comedy, very ably pre sented by Mrs. M. R. Richards and Mrs. Roger Ilailey. The two wero htehlv complimented by the mem bers and guosts for their excellent performance. At the close of the program, nlpasant social hour was enjoyed and tea was served. A lovely filet lace cloth covered the tea table, which wns centered with n large boucfuet of orange and bronze chrysanthemums, marigolds and tall yellow and orange lighted tnp- ers. Mrs. K. w.
