county clerk for the alst six years,
died here yesterday after a four
day illness. Appointed to the office
in November, 1031, on the death of
It. T. Brown, Mr. Casteel had since
been twice elected to the position.
He had completed two years of his
second term.
He wan horn in London. Ky on
April 28, ISSS. Survivors include
his widow, daughters Maxine, Mur
iel, Jean and Ruth, all of Pendle
ton, and sons Blaine, Baker, and
Elbert B., Jr., Pendleton.
Funeral arrangements have not
