For the last year and a half Ks
telle had been ill of hemophiliac
anemia, a rare blood disease. Dur
ing ihe time, she was confined to'
the Itosion hospital, neighbors
and friends raised money at little
parties to pay for expensive blood
transfusions. Prior to that mem
bers of the Hartford police depart
ment had donated 1!) transfusions.
Tonight, there was to have been
another party for a further trans
fusion, hut it has been called and
the money collected will go to pay
for Kstelle's funeral tomorrow.
