IDAHO BILL WOULD
LICENSE GAMBLING
BOISE, Idaho, Jau. 30. (AP)
A bill to license all tonus ot gam
bling In Idaho was prepared tor
presentation In the Idaho house o(
representatives.
House Speaker Troy P. Smith
said the proposed act would pro
duce $2,000,000 annually and "elim
inate the need for passage ot a
sales or transaction tax bill to pro
duce additional revenue for relict."
bust to fit the laws to our people,
He commented: "I bollove it is
rather than to try to fit the people
to the laws."
Tbe bill is similar to tbe Ne
vada law. It would make the opera
lion of any gambling game by an
unlicensed operator unlawful. U
cense foes would range from $10 to
$50; persons under the uge of 21
years would be barred from games
and rooms in which the gambling
was done. .
Present laws prohibit all gam
bling. o
