Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Kirk (above) have tbe distinction of having
been married tor a period of sixty years.
Both natives ot Virginia, they have made their home In Douglas
county for the past fifty years. Mr. Kirk has served as city marshal
and engaged tn the grocery business and other lines of businesa ac
tivity in this city.
Air. Kirk, who la 81 years ot age, Is a nephew ot the late Rev. J.
H. N. Bell, of Cot vallis. He was ordained an elder ot the First Presby
terian church ot Roscburg nearly fifty years ago and with his wife,
who 1b 78 years of age, haB taken a most active part in church activities.
