POET'S CORNER
A GARDEN
By RICHARD B, PHILLIPS
My friend has a garden
Of flowers in bloom:
Dainty red coral
And yellow scotch broom.
Lantaua in lavender
And daisies divine
With bleeding hearts red
As the reddest of wine.
Sweet William as gay
As a bright gingham dress
And lilacs that sway
When the breezes caress.
An old fashioned garden
Where to sit makes it seem
That life is a perfumed
And beautiful dream.
