SCHOOL BUDGET
BEING PREPARED
YONCALLA, April 20. The bud
act committee met with the Bchool
board. Friday evening. April 10,
and prepared another budget for
the present year. The board will
also ask for the right to issue war
rants sufficient to add manual
training and homo economics to
the curriculum. This additional
cost is to be spread over a period
of four years, and will not appear
on the budget this year. The time
for voting on the budget has been
sot for May 8.
The question ot hiring teachers
came up for consideration. A. It
Marsh was hired for a period of
two years as principal and Herbert
Huntor was given a two year con
tract as head of the English de
partment. The other tenchers will
not be hired until uttor May 8.

of Lane, who was a nephew of Jo
