the cannibals of the New Hebrides
where he spent a couple of weeks

white men on the island at that

Judge Marlln T. Phelps has ruled.
The court made lis decision in a
suit hioiiL'ht bv (iiragi lirottiers.
northern Arizona publishers, and
the Southslde Publishing company
against the Arizona tax commission.
The plaintiffs alleged it was not
the Intent ol the atale legislature
to tax advertisements in newspa
pers, and that hill as finally adopt
ed did not carry n clause relating
to advertisements. Judge Phelps,
however, ruled that the legislature
intended to tax advertisements.
