cal warehouse of the Standard Oil
company was broken into, en
trance having been effected
through a window, sometime
Thursday night or early Friday
morning, and a quantity of gaso
line in 5-gallon tins stolen.
It is supposed the thief or
thieves inteuded stealing gasolli.e
from the tank truck that is usually
kept at the warehouse. It happen
ed that the truck had been lett
at a garage for repairs Thursday
evening.
It. li. Pettey, local representative
for the Standard Oil company,
stated that 40. to 50 gallons of gas
in 5-gallon cans had been found
missing but that the exact loss
would not be known until a com
plete check could be made of the
stock.
