The movies? Corinna loved the

a speaking picture) tliero wasn't

"Sine thing!" The pair went
enstward towards Fifth avenue.
They climbed to the root of R
lumbering green omnibus. Every
little seat was occupied by a
couiilo. Corinna and her escort
sank Into one at the rear.
They gained the Squars. They
sat fur a while oil one of the
benches under the trees while
Malvey talked about his work and
his ambitions. Above the brllliant-ly-illumlnuled
office building In
the distance, hung the slim cres
cent of the new young moon.
Corinna Blipped a penny Into
Mulvey's hand, and shyly whis
pered: "Wish a wish!"
With his oilier arm about her,
ho mined the coin obediently, clos
ing his eyes, and his mulling lips
moved.
What had he wished? Hail I he
wish been directed to him and to
herself?
For Corinna kuew what she

we call life. Greater than ambi

Ah. would he speak those magic

happiness to her?
He said: "My wish Is terribly

"What did you wish for, Mal-!
