a meeting called by the firm of

land for persons interested in the

ject. Twelve representatives made
the trip. Including prominent busi
ness men, chamber of commerce
heads and representatives of the
company. The trip was made from
Portland in a tri-motor plane.
BAGSHAW EXPECTED
TO QUIT SOON AS
HUSKIES' COACH
SEATTLE, Wash., Oct. 21. The
Post Intelligencer said today that
Enoch Ragshaw may resign soon as
head football coach for the Univer
sity of Washington Huskies.
The newspaper said that defeats
by Southern California nnd Wash
ington State college, together with
the tie game with Montana,
brought football matters to a head.
The Post Intelligencer said that
after the game wtih Washington
State Saturday, the Huskies lost
20 to 13. a conference was held be
tween Ragshaw's advisers and stu
dent body heads. The student
board of control sought Bagshaw's
resignation last winter.
The newspaper said that some of
the coach's friends ndvised him to
resign nnd then offer his services
for the rest of the season because
of the difficulty of obtaining a new
coach on short notice.
