Boise, who left several weeks ago
on a trip to Europe, had landed in
England and were met there by
their son Charles. They will spend
the summer visiting in England
and on the mainland.
Entrance Pay Changed
An amendment to the salary for
position of junior janitor nt the
Roseburg federal building was an
nounced today. The entrance salary
is to be $1,140 per year. Applica
tions must be filed with the district
secretary at Seattle not later than
June 22. Charles Fields, local civil
service secretary has blanks for
making out applications.
Visiting In City
Mrs. Mayhelle Church and son
Wilson arrived today from Medford
nnd visited on their way north to
Yoncalla, where they will spend
a short time with Mrs. Church's
mother. She will then go to Ash
land to attend normal school, start
Ing Monday. She was n former
teacher In the Roseburg high
school nnd Is now an Instructor at
Medford.

Copfland was held at Ihe Myrtle
Creek Methodist church yesterday
afternoon. The church was filled
with friends and many beautiful

Key. Hall officiated. Interment
was In the Myrtle Creek cemetery.

Miss Ituth Collins, who lias spent
the last week visiting with her
parents here -will leave tomorrow
for Ashland where she will attend
normal school. She will drive as

way to Astoria and Vernonia to

pastor of the local Christian

made for the construction of the
buildin recently finished, and this
is the first opportunity to see the
structure that he was instrumental
in starting.
