Mexicans Protest Visit MEXICO CI TV, Dec. 22. In pro test against any possible visit to Mexico by Herbert Hoover a group of men and women carrying red banners and singing the Interna toinale invaded editorial offices of Mexican newspapers shortly before midnight. The demonstrators shouted, "Hoover uo, viva Sandino." They also called "meura Morrow" (down with Morrow). The group first entered the edi torial rooms of El I'niversal and then went to Excelsior and other newspapers. They were headed by Diego Rivera, a Mexican painter who is general secretary of what he calls the Mexican division of the Anti-lmperlallst league. The league was created to "wage war to the death against Yankee im i perialism." Its motto is "for the union of Latin-American peoples, to expel the Yankees from Latin I America." The demonstrators w ere members of the Anti-Imperialist league and the hands off Nicaragua , committee, both of which are af- land Imperial valley. Ooss, a young law stu dent from Portland, who has just completed -the law course at North western college. Mr. Hiney and Mr. Goss have Incorporated a com pany to be known as the Del Norte County Abstract company, and are going Into the abstract busi ness at Crescent City, California, where they have already arranged to open offices. Let stand undisturbed until sugar is dissolved. Put over a low fire and bring slowly to the boiling point. Boil gently until a few drops tried in cold water are hard and crack against the bottom of the saucer. Do not stir while cooking and dip the tines of a fork into the syrup to test. When caudy is done drop from tip of spoon onto a marble slab or waxed paper spread over smooth trays. , Orange Jelly Bars Two tablespoons plain granulat ed gelatine, 2 cups granulated sugar, 3 4 cup boiling water, 1-3 ! cup cold water, 1 large Orange. Soak gelatine in cold water for! ten minutes. Add boiling water' and stir until dissolved. Add Migar and grated rind of orange. Bring quickly to the boiling point and boil for 15 mlmues.
