Your present car is worth more to you today than It
was worth a month ago, and at least $100 more than it
will be worth in another month or so.
' On that basis, buying your new car now is like finding
money. It means you can have the pleasure and comfort
of a new car at once, and save real money by doing so.
Plainly, then, you can t afford to wait.
More People Buy Hudson-Essex Cars
Than Any Other Six
The outstanding leadership of the Essex Super-Six is a matter of actual and
vital fact on the outright i&fcue of what people want. On that basis it has e&tab
1 j shed its long time position as the world's largest selling "Six."
Here, for the first time, real car luxury, with brilliant performance and fint
appearance, were presented at less than f 1,000.
Essex alone combines these qualities. They result from orieinal design, with
a chassis at remarkably engineered in every detail as its Super-Six motor.
It is that characteristic which differentiates Essex from any hut costly can. It it
that which accounts forits smooth, effortless ease in every phase of performance.
Hudson's two great factors of performance supremacy are exclusive invention
and can be shared by no o; her maker. ;
The released Super-Six principle converts to useful power, energy that in other
types is lost in vibration.
And Hudson's companion invention to the Super-Six principle, upon which
patents have been granted, adds a (urher step in efficiency by actually con
verting hitherto wasted heat into useful power.
The new Hudson motor give the snap and performance of the hijh compres
sion type without sacrifice of flexibility and smoothness.

A number of esilnutes have
been made aa to the oil r--serves of
the United States, but In most
cases U has been found that these
estimates have been too low, due
to the fact that not enough allow
ance was made for the discovery
of new fields, accord ins; to the Ore
ion State Motor association.
The latest estimste on the oil
reserves of the United States was.
made by the committee of eleven
of tbe American Petroleum Insti
tute In March, 1926. According to
thla estimate, the amount of pe
troleum recoverable by present
methods of flowing aud pumping
from existing wells and proven
acreage was 5,300,000,000 barrels.
In addition to this amount, the
committee estimated that there
would remain In the ground in pro
ducing and proved areas 26,000,
000,000 barrels, a part ol which
could be recovered by Improved
production, methods, nuch as re
pressurlng, water flooding, etc. .
The. committee also emphasized
the fact that approximately l.OOO,
000,000 acres are underlain by
sedimentary rocks and not fully
explored In which geology Indicat
ed that oil Is possible. It is not be
lieved that all of this area will
be productive, but from time to
time new fields will be discovered.
