waB .42 of an inch, as compared
with a normal of 1.93 Inches.
In 1U20 the month of May had
only .24 of an inch of ralulall, to
that it became the record month
r-bui May of this year in at close sec
ond. The records, however, show
that there have been several yearn
when the niuiith of May had loas
than an Inch of rainfall. The
heaviest precipitation ever rec
orded in May was in 1879. i when
there were 4.83 inches. There
have been. several years In which
the mouth had more than 3 inches
of rainfall.
The temperature for the month,
was above normal, the dally aver
age for the month being 60 de
grees as compared with a normal
of 56 degrees.
