The finding of the body of Waller
II. Wilson, Jr., of Greenville, N. C.
missing Americnu vice consul at
Shanghai, was reported to the
state department today.
Wilson had been despondent for
some time, Shanghai reports said,
and when he disappeared several
days ago he left letters indicating
he Intended taking hit own .life.
His body was found iu the river ttt
Shanghai.
Ho was appoinlod a clerk iu the
Shanghai consulate in 1913 and la
ter that year was iuade a vice con
sul there. Trior to that time he. had
served as an assistant paymaster
for the shipping board.

In municipal court today that he
hud twice seen his father,. Axel

bed by the hair, and tighten a
leather belt around her neck.
The boy and his sisters, Wini
fred, 11, and Hotly, 7, wore called
for questioning concerning a story
of cruolty. Mrs. Erlckson told po
lice Sunday when sho was found
at hur home with a belt around her
neck. Erlckson, arrested after the
police were called to tho home,
said she herself had put the belt
around her neck, und that sho was
suffering from hallucinations.
