There was no unustral features
in connection with the December
weather, according to the monthly
report filed by Arthur W. Pugh,
meteorologist in charge of the lo
cal weather bureau station. The
temperature during the month av
erage 42. G degrees on a daily
average, as, compared with a nor
mal of 41.9 degrees. The rainfall
was slightly below normal, the total
precipitation amounting to 4.17
inches as compared with a normal
of 5.92 Inches. There were 2
entirely clear days, 7 partly cloudy,
22 cloudy and 20 on which there
was a trace or more of precipita
tion. The city's low wind velocity
record was not affected by the re
port as the average wind velocity
for the month was 3 miles per hour
with a maximum velocity of 23
miles per bour. The lowest tem
perature recorded during the
month was 25 degrees and the
highest was 67 degrees. The mean
of the maximum temperatures was
49 degrees and the mean ot the
minimum temperatures was 33.3
degrees.
