of California women to signify in

honor of women of all the states
in tne union and the refusal pf
two railroads to move Queen
Marie s private 'train for a nomi
nal charge were given today -as
the reasons for California being
stricken' from the list of states to
be iionbred by a visit of, the royal
traveler.
The reasons wore given by a
member of tile queen's suite, oh
provision that the source of the

The Ualllmore and . Olilb rail
road, the informant of the Asso
elated Press said, had provided
the queen with a "ten-car private
tram. Requests were made of va
rious railroads to provide power
for 'moving the train over the
tracks. All agreed, the informant
said, except the Southern Pacific
and Santa Fe railroads.
"The queen extended invitations
