Fred Wagner, veteran starter of
a thousand automobile races, was
the most surprised man in Cali
fornia after the race in Culver City
last month.
Soon after he waved the last
driver from the track a brand new
Uulck Master Six sedan was pre
sented to him by nineteen of the
leading Lace drivers of the coun
try. It was an expression of ap
preciation tor Wagner's long sorv
ice In auto racing.
The gift was planned hy refer
DePaolo, winner of the 1925 race
drivers championship. Ke knew
the esteem In which Warner Is
held by all the drivers for his fair

model 40 as the best bar for Wag
ner. They all use the Valve-ln-Head
type of engine on the track,
and knowing that the ValveJn
Head principal has been developed
by the Bulck Motor Co.. for years,
they were unanimous In choosing
It for Wagner.
Included In the list of donors are
many names famous In the racing
profession. Tommy Milton was

Conqueror Of The Mongolian Vilds
Dr. Roy Chapman Andrews, who startled the
world a few years ago by discovering a nest of
dinosaur eggs ten million years old, arrived in
' New York on November 9th from his Third
s Asiatic Expedition under the auspices of the
American Museum of Natural History.
Again he attributes much of the success of his
expedition to the astounding performance of his
five Dodge Brothers Motor Cars.
'.. . Following is a direct quotation from an official , V
statement by Dr. Andrews upon , his return to ,
America: ; . ;
The Gobi Desert !n Mongolia is the most ' ;vy
extensive undeveloped and unexplored re- "t ,: s . ;
' gion now left in the world. Until a fewt '
years ago it was retarded by the impossibly
slow traffic of camel trains, the only meant
of communication.
. But now it is being crisscrossed in every ! -direction
by motor cars, or, more correctly
' . ' by one motor car, the Dodge. Sixty or
I ' , : seventy Dodge Brothers cars are making ....
( regular trips far into the interior of this vast . -
waste, bringing out loads of sables, precious j 1
: " ' furs, wool and other products.
11Jhi1
No other car except the Dodge is found there
because we have tried it out on each of our
three expeditions and have had it demon
strated to our satisfaction that the Dodge
is the only car that will stand up xtnder the
strain of the roadless desert and do every
thing we ask of it. '
Few people have occasion to subject their motor i
cars to punishment of this severity. It is reassur-:
ing, however, to know that in emergencies Dodge
Brothers Motor Car is built to meet the test
These dependable and sturdy qualities also ac
count for the fact that more than 90 of all the
motor cars Dodge Brothers have built during the
past eleven years, are still in active service.
