St. George's Cnurch Bazaar
The ladles o! St. Geotze's church
will hold a bazaar next Saturday,
Dec. 5, at which time a fine dis
play of hand-made goods will be
offered for sale.. There has been
some misunderstanding as to the
exact date of the bazaar, but it Is
announced today that It would be
held next Saturday, Dec. 5.
Glenn Brltt With Marines
According to word received here
by friends, Glenn Rrltt, former
Roseburg boy, is now stationed
with one of the largest marine
stations In the east, located near
Washington, D. C. Mr. Prill just
recently received an appointment
as lieutenant, and left Immediately
for his new post. He Is a graduate
of Roseburg high school, and a
graduate of O. A. C, class of '25.
While at the college he was promi
nent on the campus and a member
of the R. o. T. C. He stales that
he likes his new post fine and Is
well Impressed with the new surroundings.

W. C. T. U. To Have Meeting
The W. C. T. U. will meet at the
home of Mrs. Louis Kohlhagen, on
901 Military avenue, Wednesday
afternoon. The program will be
opened by devotions, led by Mrs.
J. Belts. Helen Ferguson will
present an Interesting discourse on
the mobilization and organisation
of the W. C. T. U. Rev. Joseph
Knotts will give an address on
"What Will Another Fifty Years
Develop in Our Work!"' The pro
gram will be concluded with spe
cial music.

Arthur Kay, who was taken to
Reedsport last week to appear In
the Justice court aa a witness In
the case against Charles Davis, ac
cused of ownership of a still, was
brought back to the county Jail
Saturday evening. Davis, who waa
on trial, succeeded In winning a
verdict of not guilty. Deputy Sher
iffs Leaa and Singleton had charge
of Ray on the trip. While at
Reedsport a large group of the
man's friends stayed near him the
greater part of the time, and, fear
ing an attempt would be made to
