EX-KAISER LIVES

(ytaaoclated lltm Leaird Wire.)
LONDON, Nov. 19 Doom House
in Holland, where former Emperor
William of Germany has his abode,
may not be a palace, but neverthe
less it Is beautifully furnished and
withal, it smacks of the renal. The
one time ruler of Germany does not
suggest the weary exile, pining to
return to his borne land. Notwith
standing his white beard, which be
comes him well, he looks younger
than he did In 1913, a year before
the commencement of the World
war, which culminated in his un
doing.
This is what Alexander Mont
gomer Carlysle, an old time friend,
who has paid - a visit to Doom
House, has to say of William II.
Mr. Carlysle said he stands erect,
talks vivaciously and retains his
old dignity and bearing. In his
exile William continues to wear
his showy uniforms and decora
tions, and there Is much of the old
Potsdam regularity at Doom
House. Age has mellowed him
somewhat and there .appeared a
tendency on his part to forget the
bitterness of the World war. It
Beemed natural, as his visitor was
an Englishman, that William In his
talk mostly referred to England,
for he said he always had friendly
feelings.
. Blame Lawyers For War.
"X am confident." William told
Mr. Carlysle "that If honest diplo
macy had been used,, and If cer
tain members of the British cabi
net had visited Berlin before the
war, things would have been very
different. To some extent It was
a war of lawyers, and I always
have disliked the lawyer."
Then referring to Great Britain's
outlook, the former kaiser said:
'Her future is terribly insecure:
her financial burden would appear
to be Intolerable. She has to pay
untold millions to the United
States each year, while her allies
are not paying her their debts."
Mr: rartTSIo- descrlbes Princess
Hermtne. the wife of William II,
who was magnificently gowned
when he saw her, as a charming
woman and devoted to her hus
band. He said the two daughters
of the princess were splendid chil
dren and that tne lormer emperor
was most happy In the company of
Hermine and the girls. v
All the staff of William II at
Doom House wear full uniforms.
His lord chamberlain was even
more dignified than the days at
Potsdam before the war.

STARKEY AND TRAMBITAS
BATTLE 10-ROUND DRAW
(A-anrl-t-4 I'reaa Lraarrf Wire.)
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore., Nov.
19. Kid Starkey of Klamath Falls
and Johnnie Trambitas of Portland,
lightweights, went 10 rounds to a
draw here last night. The decision
of the judges was unpopular as a
majority of the fans thought Tram
bitas had a slight shade.
In a furious six-round semi-wind-
up, Wilbur Harrington, Klamath
Indian, outpointed Jack Crim, Mo
doc Indian. The boys are light
weights. Substituting for Bobby Allen, an
Indian, "Dummy" Poole, Weed
welter, fought a slashing draw with

And I shall meet thee on ' an

My soul has shown me death can

A single tie that binds thy life

In boundless and eternal lands

When I shall reach the shores I

No more shall limitations fetter

Attaining Cosmic Forces, I shall
learn
To leave my body and ascend to
thee.
Above a thousand million worlds
afar
On wings of thought my unseen
self shall rise,
Till I shall gain some undiscover

Which wheels through endless
depths of unknown skies.
Then I shall seek and find thee In
that land
Eternal Truth has made forever

The deep soul-lore which I shall

Whilst I am there, thou Shalt
