the part of the student body will

er slight earth UVmor this morn
ing similar to one felt here Satur
day. The "baby" quake waa ex
perienced at 1:20 a. m., and lasted
but second or two. The build
ings shook for a moment but so
far as could be learned there waa
no damage.
The shock was accompanied by
a high wind, and a heavy rain. The
quake centered in tbe Hartford
district but affected the lighting
systems as faa south aa Middle
town. No shock, however, waa fell
there.
. DENVER, Col., Nor. An
earth tremor beginning at five
o'clock thla morning and lasting
for an hour and twenty minutes
waa recorded on the seismographs
at Rela College today.
Father Foratall, In charge of the
Instrument, said It probably center
ed within a radius of 1500 miles
of Denver and probably waa in a
northerly direction.
"It ia the severest shock record
ed here in two yeara and I fear
great loss' Of life and property
where tbe quake centered," be
aid.

"Babe" Monroy, who fought Tony
Escalante at a boxing show here
Saturday night, died yesterday. The
atate boxing commission Is Investi
gating the case. Monroy came from
Tipton, Cal.
A doctor had advised him not to
eater the ring but Monroy con
cealed this advice from his mana
ger and started against Ksralante.
After the fight he complained of
feeling ill, went to bed and died
yesterday morning.

MEDFORD MAN CHANGES PLEA
Hirbard Horn of Medfonl, today
paid a fine of If.O in the irrult
court after chanslna his nlea from
not guilty to guilty on a charge of
reckless driving. Horn was ar-
rested almost a year ago. and after
delays was convicted In the Justice
rourt. He appealed from the convlc-;
lion but changed his plea this
morning and received his sentence
from Judge Hamilton.
