At Crouch's store Iocheal Is said

! case, and at the Tire Shop he pur
chased a tire for hit car, getting
i cash change as well.
At Bubar's he Inspected a dla-
mond engagement ring and also
watch, the purchases, coming to
about $100. Ills father, he Is said
to have told the proprietors, would
provide him with the money to buy
the articles, and he went out, re
turning shortly with a check and
the Information that his father was
delighted that he was buying an
engagement ring for the girl.
It Is expected that otner eneexs
have been passed which have not
yet been reported. In his purchases
Is said to nave used the name of
Darrell.

stato lighting law. They erected a

were found to be running without
their lights being properly focused,

essary adjustments made at once.

Robert A. Healy and Clarence
Hull were arrested Saturday night

The benefit dance for the Doug
Ian County Concert Band, to be
held Friday, October 16 at the
armory. Is being sponsored by the

The band Is distinctly a com
munity asset and as such should be
whole-heartedly supported hy cltl-

of the band depend upon various
sources and are not stable for any
given period, and a more adequate
method of finance must be found

pend on a definite back in if. It is
exnected that later a definite plan
will be adopf.Hl to finance the
hand. The Douglas County Music
Teachers' Association Is doing all
In their power to make the affair a
success, and It Is expected that a
huge crowd will patronize tht
dance. The entire proceeds will go
to finance the band. Tickets are on
sale this week.
