Of wide social Interest Is the
coming marriage of Miss Lois
Miriam Geddes to .Mr. Harrlo
Booth, which will occur at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Aj J. Geddes,
Wednesday afternoon, October to.
at 4:110 o'clock, and for which In
vitations were Issued this week.
MUs Geddes Is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Ueddi-s, is
a graduate of Roseburg high school,
and attended the Willamette Uni
versity, where she was a member
of the Delta Thl sorority. During
one term she attended the Elllson
Whlte conservatory of music "
Mr. Booth Is the sou of Mr. and
Mrs. J. H. Booth, of Court street,
and la a graduate of Roseburg
high school. He was a student at
the University of Oregon and a
member of the Beta Theta Chi fra
ternity. He is a veteran of the
world war and served in France
several months with the 69th ar
tillery. Since bis return here he
has been cashier In the Douglas
National Bank.

Mary Margaret Gedney
Hostess to Group
Mary Margaret Oedney was a
charming little hostess this after
noon, when she entertained a
group of friends at the R. E. Ged
ney home on South Mali) street, at
luncheon and later a theatre
party. '
Hallowe'en motifs were featured
throughout the dining room, where
1 o'clock luncheon was served the
guests at a large-table with cloth
of crepe paper in Hallowe'en de
signs. The table was centered
with an attractive bowl of fruit,
about which were placed small
Japanese lanterns with candles of
bright .colors. Favors of small bas
kets In colorful design were used.

The ceremony took place at 8
o'clock at the Baptist church In the

timate friends. The bride was
charming tn an ensemble suit of
golden brown, with hat to match
and was unattended. Mrs. Led bet
ter is a graduate of the University
of Oregon, and following her grad
uation she spent two years in Rose
burg, teaching mathematics in the
high school. Since that time she
has taught a year In Nome, Alaska,
spent two years in Alexandria,
Louisiana, and traveled abroad one
summer. She Is well known tn this
city and visited with friends In
Roseburg a short time this sum
mer. Mr. Ledbetter as a graduate of I
the University of Louisiana and at
