compiles with a similar one made
at the recent convention In San
Kranclflco, of the Pacific Inter
national J'hototcrapher's Associa
tion. The finest pictures shown at
the state fair this year. The col
lection wlil Include the very best
specimens under the following
clawies: portraiture, commercial
photography und color work. The
exhibit will be representative of
ninety percent of the studios of
the North went. Members of the
Willamette Valley Photographers'

precedented Interest In the forth
coming dlHplay. are asked to send
In their best works, the closing
date for entries to be the day be
fore the opening of the fair, Sep
tember 28th.
There will be two hundred and
fifty pictures In the Pacific In
ternational exhibit, with ninety
pictures representative of com
mercial photography. J. H. f.uns
ler, of Portland, who hung the
northern section's pictures at San
Francisco, will be In Halem to
plare the exhibit. Groups will be
arranged as they were In Califor
nia, so that the different types
of photographs will be readily
dlscernahle by the public, and to
further the interest in the dis
play Miss Kathryn Gunnel, of Sa
lem, will be on hand each after
noon to answer questions regard
ing the artists who made the pic
tures; what constitutes quality In
photographic work, and anything
eUe that may puzzle atate fair
patrons.
