A TRIP TO MT. ME A DOW 8
As I traveled today through the
forests ot tall firs and beautiful
pines,
I felt so happy and thankful we
have laws to protect them and
their kind;
For me, my children, and others
along life's line,
A place where there's pure water,
crystal clear and free;
Fluwers, fern and mosses cover like
a blanket the earth.
If they are not protected by men
whose worth they know.
Where could we camp In peace
where nature Is a real beauty
show.
Not run Into "No Trespass" signs
every way we turn,
Oh, please help us good people, to
never let these forests burn,
On the National Forest'
Maker
For His blessed gifts to us.
Far more wonderful are the
mountains and streams
When your heart Is filled with the
peace they give,
Makes you happier, much more
willing to live.
