reunion of the Oregon pioneers
went on this forenoon at the audi
torium where they are registering
for the 53rU annual session. All
fotecoon reminiscences have been

daughters and grandsons and
granddaughters of the outskirts
learned more about Oregon history

The Informal part of the re
union was scheduled for 2 p. m.
opening with an organ recital by
Ralph W. Iloyt and tl(e call to or
der by David S. Stearns, a pioneer
of 1S57.
Invocation and benediction by the
Rev. Troy Shelley, chaplain of the
organization and special sirvce for
the pioneers who have died In the
last year by past president H. S.
IArcy and the annual address by
Judge Alfred 8. Bennett of The
Dalles, were the largest features
of the program. J. D.' Lee, past
president, introduced Catharine J.
Adams as "mother queen of Ore
gon." Mrs. Maud Springer Bowen
and Dr. Stuart McGuire sang and
committees on resolutions were
named.
The annual dinner precedes the
I business meeting at 7:30, which
