registry of mines to toe kept at the
bureau headquarters at Grauls Pass

gates were crowding Into Dallas
today for the opening of the an
nual convention of the Oregon
State Grange, a determined effort
was launched by the Baker delega
tion to capture the 1926 convention
for that city.
The Baker boosters were mak
ing their plea en the strength of
the recent growth and activity of
I the granges, east of the Blue
mountains in Baker, Union, Wal
i Iowa and Grant counties.
George A. Palmlter, of Hood
Elver, president, planned to speed
up the business of the convention
' which opened at 10 o'clock today.
