heavy corn syrup 1-4 pint. Glycer
ine 1 tablespoonful; Saccharine

Mix thoroughly the 1 ounce of
powdered strychnine (Alkaloid)
,nnd 1 ounce common baking soda.

(mass. (The starch pasto is made
by dissolving 1 heaping table
spoonrul of dry gloss starch in a
(little fold water, which is then
added to 3-4 pint of boiling water,

'clear thin paste is formed.) Add
1-4 pint heavy corn syrup and
, 1 tablespoonful of glycerine and
stir thoroughly. Add 1-10 ounce
of saccharine and stir thoroughly.
Tour this mixture over 16. quarts of
chan barley aud mix well so that
each grain is coated,
