Coos Bay Couple Here
Mr. and Mrs. A. Schmldll arrived
here from Coos Bay last night to
spend the week end visiting and
on business. Mr. Schmldll is with
the firm of Yeyser and Schmldll,
heating and plumbing contractors
at the coast.
Brings First Strawberries
The first slrawhvrrles of the
season were brought to the News
Review office today by A. J.
Tuck of Kdenbower, who is always
among the first to have the riie

the Gold Dollar variety and large

Miss Margaret Cook returned
yesterday from Portland, much im
proved In health alter several
weeks' treatment In that city. Her
sister, Mrs. W. E. Carl), underwent
a successful operation for tonsil

and will return here later.
Returns From the North
Nathan Fullerton relumed this
morning from Spokane where he
and Mrs. Fullerton nttended a
Rexall convention. They stopped
off at Portland for a few days visit
on their return home. Mis. Fuller
ton remalnine until Sunday visit
ing with friends and relatives. Mr.
Fullerton reports a very success
ful and enjoyable meeting at Spokane.
Purchase Plats in Curry Estate
Fred Schwartz and Nathan Ful
lerton have purchased Plat C of
the n; Curry estate this week, the
transaction being made by W. A.
Ilogard. exclusive agent for the
Curry estate. The property is sit
uated in a beautiful grove on the
banks of the North Utnpqua, and
is near the golk links. It is the
Intention of Mr. Schwartz and Mr.
Fullerton to develop the tract by

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dashnerand
daughter, arrived here yesterday
from Somerset, Calorado, to make
their home here. They intend to
find a suitable ranch near this city
for farming purposes.

Mrs. J. S. Ilubb arrived here
last "evening from Portland to
spend several days visiting with
friends. She will he the house
guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Price,
who reside about a mile out on
the Detr Creek road.
Mrs. Shoemaker Returns Home
Mrs. C. H. Shoemaker returned to
her home in this city last night
after an absence of about three
months In northern points. She has
been at the home of her sister,
i Mrs. Ledford in Seattle, staying in
1 the north to benefit her health, and
; returns much better.

Mrs. Guy Flint, who formerly
resided In this city, and who has
been visiting with friends here for
the past several dnys. returned to
her home in Portland this morning.

the week end with his father,
