Western Washington Fair Associa
tion, died at his home in Sumner

Mr. Paulhamus wss elected from
Pierce county to the state senate
in the last session of the service
being elected president of the sen
ate. He. was successful in secur
ing the re-establishment of the
Western Washington experiment
station of the state college near
Puyallup, which had been closed
for some time, also the establish
ments of the soldiers' home colony
at Ortlng.
He was a candidate for the nom
ination fur governor on the pro
gressive ticket in 1912. although
he did not make a campaign. Last
year he filed at the last moment,
for the republican nomination for
governor ,and ran . third among 8
candidates.

Reynolds' head and scratched Mrs.

gene Purdy was found guilty of
the.murder of E. 8. Hutchison,
wealthy Tu'sa lumber dealer, by'
a Jury in state district court here
today.
Purdy shot and killed Hutchison
last January 12. "He broke up my
home and stole my child," Purdy
told county officers after the kill
ing, when he surrendered.
His defense against a charge of
first degree murder was Insanity.
