the reorganized Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints re
sumed today an effort to heal a
breach that threatens a division
in the faith founded by Joseph
Smith in 132.
The convention, which Is being
held in the mother church, with

of the father of the faith, presid
ing, is confronted with the de
mand of the minority for a de
centralized form of church gov
ernment. The other faction, of
which Mr. Smith is the ackowl-
