kota, where he is to be a principal
witness in a civil action. He has
not yet determined upon his busi
ness following the trial of the case,

offered him for his consideration.
He has been very active in estab
lishing the RoseburR Chamber of
Commerce on a firm and substan
tial basis, and during the short
time that he was employed here
did a great deal for the city and
county organization, and his de
parture Is greatly regretted. He
remained several days over his ex
pected time of departure in order
to see the new publicity booklet
well on Us way, leaving tfarely in
time to reach his destination by
the time of the trial. The booklet
which he arranged before his res-

last week by the telephone com
pany with the various farmer com
munities were very successful from
every standpoint. The meetings
were well attended and the large
number and various kinds of ques
tions asked by the farmers Indi
cated their interest. The Tele
