IS SUCCESSFUL
There la a fine Interest and spirit
In the revival now going on In the
Salvation Army Hall. The sinking I
la lively and spiritual. Last night
many were stirred by the impas
loned pleas of the Scotch preach
er. ;. V. Scott, for holier living
among the professed followers of
Christ. More reverance for the Holy
Church of Cod and a burning heart
of love for the never dying souls of
the sinners of Hosebyrg. The
churches were exhorted to forget
their denominational prejudices and
get together for an old fashioned
Holy Ohost, sin killing revival,
that would confound the devil and
get glory to (iod. Sin. formality and

only Savior. C.od'a power was pow-
erfullv manifested. At the close of
the nervines n eoodlv numbtir knelt
at the altar to pray for souls.
The army la looking forward to
a gracious outpouring of the Holy
Spirit on the churches and the peo

tended to all the pastors and mem
bers to co-operate. One of the fea
tures of the meeting Is the singing
of Mr. Hcott, who was formerly an
opera singer, and later a singing
evangelist. Mr. Scott is the author
of almost a hundred hymns. To

though the White House with

of Kansas, bad virtually been de
cided on by President Coolidge for
secretary of agriculture.
The Kansas delegation In con
gress which once endorsed J. C.
Mohler, also of Kansas, for the
post, met and changed Its support
to Mr.. Jurdine. Members of the
committee have been In constant
consultation with Mr. CoolidKe,
but they declined to. say whether
they had definite information as
to his decision.
Mr. Jardine, who Is a member
of the president's agricultural
conference conferred with Mr.
Coolidge. Officials said the visit
had to do with agricultural ques
tions, but declined to go Into de
tails. Mr. Jardine Is president of the
Kansas agricultural college, and
his supporters say he has the en
dorsement of Secretary Hoover to
whom the president previously had
offered the agriculture secretary
ship. His attitude toward the Mc-Nary-Haugen
farm bill had been
displeasing to some of the Kansas
delegation supporting that meas
ure, the delegation was unanimous
today however, in its endorsement
of him.
Mr. Jardine has had many kinds
of experience that would be of
value to him as Secretary of Agri
