The fast for the first high school
play of the term has been selected,
and rehearsals will begin at the
grange bull immediately, on receipt
ot the books. The play is an inter
esting drama of home lite, entitled
"Who'a Boss?" The rehearsals will
be under the direction of Mrs. T. S.
Thompson.
Mr. H. IJ. Montgomery returned
to his home here, ou Monday, from
lloaglaud, w here he has been em
ployed. Faye Morgan of Marsh field has
been visiting with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Tom Morgan of this place.
She returned to work at Marsh Held
on Friday.
Friday mornine. January twenty-
third, there was born to Mr' and
Mis. Uuight Morgan, a girl Bulb
Mrs. Morgan and the new arrival
are getting along nicely.
The last gathering of the high
school literary society, for the term,
took place on Friday, in the inter
mediate room of" the grade school.
A fine program, including an inter
esting debate was enjoyed by the
pupils and a few visitors. The
meetings will now discontinue, so
that more time may be spent In re
hearsing' the high school play for
presentation.
Cecil Jackson who has been em
ployed in California for the past
few years, is visiting here with bis
parenlf, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Jack
son. Mrs. Arthur Marsh has been ser
iously ill at ber home, with an at
tack, of tnusilitis. She shows, how
ever, promising signs of recovery.
A-. L. llushnell and his wife, of
Coquille have been visiting with
friends and relatives in Flournoy.
We are glad to hear that Mrs.
Tom Morgan is recovering from a
alight but disagreeable case of ton
silitis.
