The trial of C. E. Illldge, pro
prietor ot the Glendale Pharm
acy, which has been pending for
the past six months or more, was
held Tuesday ln the office ot the
State Board of Pharmacy at
Portland and Mr. Illldge was ex
onerated by the Board after s
most thorough examination last
ing from 10 o'clock In the morn
ing until 6 o clock in the after
noon. Various charges had been
made against the local druggist,
Including substitutions ln pres
criptions, unprofessional conduct
and others. A number ot local
witnesses were called including
those who had made the charges
and both sides were represented
by attorneys. In rendering their
declsslon ln favor of Mr. Illldge1
the Board fully exonerated him
from all the charges, says the
Glendale News.

this week purchased the stock of
goods and good will of the E. J.
Humphrey store and have moved
the goods to their own establish
ment, where they are now busy
assorting it and getting ready to
put on a big sale, says the Glen
dale News. Since the accidental
death of Mr. Humphrey about a
year ago. Mrs. Humphrey has.'
been conducting the store, but
found that the work was too
heavy for her, hence she ba
sold all of the storo property to
the aforementioned firm. Tha
many friends of the Humphrey
family hope that they wlll con
tinue to be citUens of this city.

that as soon as the goods can be
assorted and various depleted
