annual meeting of the )re:nh
ond, we took into consideration the
needs of an athletic field, that
would care for the needs of our
proposed new school for a number
of years to come, and third, we con
sidered the advertising benefits to
be derived from this proposed in
vestment, as it would interest the
tourists and others M passing in
and out of oar city and surround
ing country, and it would seem that
we should not overlook this im
portant Item in our selection of a
site.
"Our committee is not unanimous
as to first cnoice of a site, as two
of the committee have Indicated
that the site known as the Catholic
church property and the block im
mediately north of srdd property
would be our first choice, this prop
erty would be described as Lou 3,
4, 5 and 6. In block 26 and lots 1, 2,
7 and 8 In block 27, and by vacating
Waahington street between these
blocks, we would have a frontage
on Kane and Chadwlek streets of
33 feet and 22 il feet deep, or a
much larger space than occupied by
our present high school building.
The first choice ftt the other mem
ber of our committee is know a as
the Wattely Bite, between Jackson
and Stephens Mreets, running back
to McClellan street, with a front
age on Mosher street of 3l0 feet
and 'about JUS feet deep, a benuti-
