OMAHA, Neb., Jan. 6. The con
tents of a sale deposit box in a lo
cal bank, believed to have been op
ened by an administrator of her es
tate, to be appointed probably to
day by Couniy Judge Crawford,
will, In the opinion of officers,
have an apparent bearing upon the
investigation of tiie murder last
Friday of Mrs. Moe Hahne, for
which her husband, J. Warren
Huhne, wealthy contractor and
real estate man, is being beld.
The box is known to contain a
deed to a cemetery lot in Colo
rado, where Mrs. Hahne Is to be
burled and police also believe that
in it will be found the $2,000 worth
of diamonds belonging to the siain
woman, and which have been miss
ing since her death.
Habit e claims these were stolen
by an unidentified person whom he
claims killed his wife.
In addition to the Jewels, police
also hope to find In the safety box
the diary of the murdered woman.
She is reported to have kept a
close record of her life, and is said
to have been sensitive. With a
record of her feelings for some
time prior to the murder, police
say, they expect to establish wheth
er she had enemies whom she fear
ed and if there were domestic dif
ficulties between the couple.
Police argue that the je4fels
might have been taken by anyone,
but that the diary could only have
been taken by a person or persons
