The cannery Is having no trouble In
the disposal ol its product, although
the plants are run to capacity. On the
contrary, some orders havehad to be
turned back on account of lack of fa
cilititieB to fill them.
The cannery moat certainly proved
to be a most welcome asset to Doug
las county, especially Hoseburg, as
the monthly pay roll is said to be in
the neighborhood of approximately
S.30U.UU when the plant is in full
operation.
The mujor portion of the fruit sent
out by the cannery has been sent out
to Jobbers and the general trade,
bearing the regular plant label. How
ever, some goods carry very attrac
tive labels such as "Koaeburg's",
"Limpqua Chiefs", etc., which will
help considerably in putting Koseburg
on the map.
The Umpqua Valley Canning com
pany la said to be one of the few
canning plants In the United States
which has been successful In produc
ing a cauliflower pack.
