A plan to reduce industrial accidents has been announced by
tho National Industrial Conference board. It is not generally
realized that such accidents play a considerable part in the cost
of living, and constitute one of the nation's heavy burdens. The
loss to workers by such accidents is estimated at $1,000,000,000
annually. Hut whether this includes the great loss caused by the
